Anna Puzanov, MD

Pathology Laboratory, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice is privileged to include Anna Puzanov, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Puzanov has extensive professional experience.

Dr. Puzanov received her medical degree from the St. Petersburg State Medical Academy in Russia before relocating to the United States for her postgraduate training. She then served a two-year anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the Grands Rapids Area Medical Education Center in Michigan. She later finished a three-year anatomic and clinical pathology residency as part of the Yale University residency training program at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. She went on to complete a cytopathology fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

Dr. Puzanov has since garnered extensive professional experience across laboratories and medical hospitals, both national and international, in a career that has spanned more than two decades. For several years, she practiced in Israel, serving on the staff of the Edith Wolfson Medical Center in Holon and Patho-Lab Diagnostics in Ness-Ziona. She was a Staff Cytopathologist and Surgical Pathologist at Cytology Pathology Services, Inc. in Indianapolis for six years. She also worked as a Staff Pathologist at Great Falls Pathology in Lewiston, Maine for over a decade. She is currently a Staff Pathologist at Aurora Diagnostics Pathology Laboratory.

Dr. Puzanov is a member of the College of American Pathologists. She holds full medical licensure in the states of Louisiana, Maine and Michigan. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology.

Dr. Puzanov has had the results of her research efforts published as an abstract in peer-reviewed medical journals. She has also given several poster presentations at professional medical conferences.
