Pathology Laboratory

Pathology Laboratory was established in 1966 to provide outpatient surgical biopsy testing and Pap testing in the area. This heritage of community-based services instilled the principles of concern for the patient and dedication to exceptional client services. Through the years, Pathology Laboratory has been guided by five carefully-chosen pathologist directors and operated by talented and caring staff members to become the anatomic pathology laboratory of choice in the region.

Innovation is an integral tenet at Pathology Laboratory. Within the last 10 years, we have incorporated ThinPrep® Pap testing, immunohistochemistry staining for enhanced diagnostic and prognostic biopsy results, human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA testing, gonorrhea (GC) and chlamydia (CT) DNA testing, Web-based results, and computerized Pap test imaging. In 2007, Pathology Laboratory partnered with Aurora Diagnostics enabling us to deliver increasingly complex management and IT solutions. As our services, staff, and territory expand; we continue to operate on the same founding principles of concern for the patient and dedication to exceptional care and client services.
